Sam's Adventures: Season 1, Episode 1 (My Story!)

Featured story By Samantha on Track: Arts Region: Middle East

Hi! My name is Samantha (or at least that's my blog name haha). I want to introduce myself, and share what led me to apply for GoCorps, and ultimately say yes to tithing my career! I recently graduated from college with a double major in dance and psychology. While I have been a Christian for almost my whole life, college was transformational for me as it taught me more about my faith, and showed me how important my faith was in my life. Something that was particularly influential in my life was a world religions class that I took as an elective. It ended up being one of my favorite classes,… Read more

GoCorps Introduction

By Naaji on Track: Ministry Region: Europe

Howdy! My name is Naaji and I am super excited to begin my journey with GoCorps. I was first exposed to GoCorps when I received an email through my school email that offered an opportunity for graduating students to “Tithe their Career.” The idea is that students that are set to graduate will be able to serve overseas for a couple years before beginning their lifelong careers. As soon as I read about this premise, I was hooked.  I unfortunately cannot share which location I will be located in due to it being in a restricted nation for Christians, but I can share the ministry I will be a… Read more

Navigating the Waves of Chaos

By Alexia on Track: Media - Communications Region: Europe

Sometimes as I find myself sitting in seasons of waiting, such as I have in recent months, chaos seems as if it comes and goes in waves. At one moment, all feels at peace, and it’s easy to sit and declare my trust in the Lord and where He has me. Other times, it feels like I’m sinking in an ocean of impatience and everything around me is in utter chaos— my emotions, my relationships, and even the way I carry myself in day-to-day life. The latter weeks of August have felt like this ocean I can’t help but sink in, no matter what I do in an attempt to pull myself out.  I’ll be transparent… Read more

Seen & Known

Featured story By Sophia on Track: Compassion - Justice Region: Europe

On the side of the highway in Somewhere, Tennessee, next to my dented car and still a little bit shaken, I felt a still small nudge in my heart to look up.  Psalm 147: 4 - He determines the number of the stars; he gives to all of them their names.  It had been a while since I had been in a spot where other light sources were insignificant enough to allow me to see so many stars in the sky. But at this moment, I saw them in abundance. I saw so many so clearly. And God knows exactly how many there are and knows them all by name. Incredible. For the hours I was driving before this semi… Read more

Learning to Surrender Impatience

By Alexia on Track: Media - Communications Region: Europe

I’ll be honest, waiting kills me. As much as I’d like to consider myself a patient person, it’s definitely a fruit that the Lord is stretching me to grow in. I tend to want to make things move as quickly as possible and often attach my own timelines to various things. Spoiler: This never ends up well. I’ve always known I wasn’t the most patient person, but didn’t realize the degree of my impatience until this month. I’ve just recently begun running again, and anyone who knows running knows it takes time to build endurance and speed. On one of my runs within the first week back, I found myself… Read more

June + A Wonderful Surprise

By Michaela on Track: Media - Communications Region: Latin America

Does the Thirst for Change Overpower the Hunger of Your Kids? Every time I sit down with one of the Amadas—our beloved women—I’m overwhelmed by the weight of their reality. Nearly every woman we talk to tells us how desperately she wants to leave prostitution. They see clearly how this work is harming them, but the heartbreaking truth is that leaving feels impossible unless something drastic changes. Just last week, one Amada told me, “I would love to leave, but my family depends on me. We can’t survive without my income.” Others echo similar pain, talking about how they hate their job and… Read more

July Update!

By Tyler on Track: University Outreach Region: Asia - East

These past few months have been very hectic, so I'll try to keep things brief. I have been dealing with a lot of loss and hardship. I have lost friends, seen my parents' health decline, and have even discovered I have health concerns I wasn't aware of previously. But through it all, God has been good. He has continued to provide for me and those around me in these tough times.  I won't lie, it has been hard sometimes to look to Him for strength. I find it can be really easy to get complacent, lazy, and angry when you can't see God in certain situations. The thing to remember is that it… Read more

Not Mine to Solve, Merely to Help

By Alexia on Track: Media - Communications Region: Europe

Over the last month, I’ve been challenging myself to sit with and interact with the Lord in new ways to deepen my relationship with Him intentionally. In this time, He has been answering some of my many questions, while also allowing me to sit and ponder on some new ones related to the connections between anti-trafficking work and the Kingdom.  I began working through the book of Jeremiah early in the month and reading about God’s warning of exile against the people of Jerusalem due to their unfaithful actions towards Him. I’ve been reminded of the Lord’s hand within the injustice in… Read more

My First Ask: Cheerful Givers

By Sophia on Track: Compassion - Justice Region: Europe

I LOVE giving people baby gifts after they share the news that they are expecting a new member of the family. It is so exciting and fun to show them love in this way and to talk about what life will look like in the next few months.  I share that because my first support meeting was with Sawyer and Liv, on their 1st year wedding anniversary, a couple months after Sawyer had told me that Liv was pregnant.  I met Sawyer in 2021 when we were both working with campus housing at The University of Alabama, we became friends, and I happily agreed to watch his dog, Fen (he is the best) when… Read more

“How are you using your hands [to glorify Him]?”

Featured story By Alexia on Track: Media - Communications Region: Europe

I was at work a couple of days ago when a co-worker and I were admiring a customer's earrings. This customer’s name was Dameca. Her earrings were these grapefruit slices that had been set in resin and handmade into beautiful earrings. When we mentioned the earrings and complimented them, Dameca began sharing the story behind them.  Dameca's earrings had come from an immigrant woman. This woman began making resin earrings as a means of earning an income after relocating to the United States, and she utilized the help of others to establish an online Etsy shop where she could showcase her… Read more
