Abby Greeson

Mission Coach

Abby went to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor where she met her husband TJ. They currently live in Texas and her husband is on staff at a local church. As a recent grad, Abby remembers not knowing where God was calling her or how he was going to use her.  So, she is super pumped to help other young adults discover where and how God wants to use them to reach the nations. She is excited to be a part of God’s great commission in sending the next generation of missionaries and loves exploring new cities, hiking, and lots of coffee. Oh, and of course a good game night with friends and family!

Alyssa Kathleen

Mobilizer and Mission Coach

Alyssa was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. She loves ice cream, Disney movies, and the great outdoors. After high school, she went on her first short-term trip to Haiti where she was “bit with the missions bug.” That trip set the trajectory for her college career, at Azusa Pacific University, towards missions. After graduating in 2014 she served with GoCorps on the University Outreach track in South East Asia. While overseas she was known as a language and cultural student, taught English, and helped open a new language center. It was overseas where she also realized the great need for more workers to be sent to the harvest field. Now she is working as a mobilizer and missions coach for GoCorps and hopes that her efforts will encourage young adults to serve among the unreached peoples overseas on behalf of the Good News!

Since then Colton has seen God do incredible work through the local church to reach the nations with the Gospel. Colton has been married to fellow staff member Katy White for six years. He has an unhealthy obsession with the Houston Astros, he is less then average at basketball, and his best friend is his dog, Springer.

Jessica Wick

Jessica has had a successful career in corporate recruitment for over 10 years, and recently completed her Master’s degree with University of Northwestern – St. Paul in Organizational Leadership.  It was during her MOL program that she started to sense God was calling her to use those recruiting skills for another purpose when she found GoCorps.  Jessica is passionate about helping emerging adults transition well from college into their career and strongly believes that investing 2 years in global service after graduation should be normalized among recent grads to help fulfill the Great Commission.  She is currently involved with a local church plant in Minneapolis and believes God has called us all in unique ways to live missionally wherever he calls us, whether in the city or overseas.  Jessica loves music, reading all kinds of books, spending time with family and friends at the lake, and a good cup of coffee.  Jessica is based in Minneapolis, MN.

Julia Van Der Werf

Julia was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, and attended Penn State University.  From the very beginning of her teaching career, she had a passion to serve inner city youth which eventually led her to start an inner city ministry in Washington, DC called DayBreak in which she served as the Executive Director until 2009 when she married Paul and began serving with GoCorps.  Her roles on the GoCorps team have included: director of coaching, fundraising event coordinator, and fundraising campaigh trainer. Julia loves her family and friends who are scattered all over the country and world and enjoys reading, watching movies, traveling, going for long walks in pretty places, photography, and being a mom to three little ones.

Katy R.

Director of Goer Experience

Katy graduated from Texas A&M in 2012 with a degree in Communication. While in college, the urgency of making Christ known in all nations captured her heart and her passions followed suit. She now desires to ignite a passion for the least reached in the lives of college students and to see this generation realize their strategic place in global missions. Katy’s hobbies include cooking fancy recipes and playing the guitar. Katy resides in TX with her husband Colton. Together they take as many opportunities to travel as they can, and are currently half-way into their goal of visiting all seven continents.

Mike Nelson

As a student at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, Mike had many opportunities to share the Gospel around the US and overseas. These experiences sparked a passion for global service and eventually God brought Mike and his wife, Jackie, overseas for a year with a church planting organization. Mike loves hearing about how God is working in the lives of college students and how to connect them with opportunities to serve globally. Mike, Jackie, and their three daughters are based just outside of Minneapolis.

Toward this end, in 2009, he founded GoCorps. Paul loves travel and has visited all 50 states and 46 countries. He enjoys urban bike riding, ultimate Frisbee, reading and iced coffee.
