...Patiently Waiting
Posted on April 22, 2016
After I applied for a visa, I started to pack and get ready to depart with faith that God would provide me with the visa. God, however, had a different agenda. I ended up getting denied 2.5 weeks later and found myself on my knees that evening asking God with tears in my eyes, “What do YOU want, Lord?” A question I’ve been asking a lot during my journey of support raising. Rather than asking why this is happening, I knew I had to ask what do I do with the additional time God has given me. Yes, I believe that God was behind every step of this visa process and this delay was just coincidental.... Read more
Impatiently Waiting

307 days. It’s been that long since this idea of overseas commitment has crossed my mind. The first 46 days felt as if I was waiting for an ice cream truck in the winter: so long and pointless. And 261 days later, I’m here. This time, I see the light at the end of the tunnel. With my departure date pushed back a month to March 31st, I’m more than determined to finish the remaining of support raising so I can finally start what I’ve been impatiently waiting and wanting to do for the past 261 days. But, once again, I find myself relying on my abilities and time schedule. It’s so hard for me to... Read more
A Man After God's Own Heart

David. God, himself, testified that David was a man after His heart and will do everything He wanted him to do (Acts 13:22). In this season of Christmas, I’m finally understanding what this means to me. And through a series of events, God has been highlighting the same in my own life. The story where David as a young shepherd boy fearlessly faced and defeated Goliath is a perfect example of the absolute faith he had in God. After David professed about Lord’s... Read more
Cries Heard, Prayers Answered
Posted on November 12, 2015
I have 2 exciting stories to share with you! #1. Last time I fasted was more than 4 years ago and I fasted because I wanted to experience what it means to be hungry physically. It never crossed my mind that it was a personal sacrifice for the Lord. Just after the whole conversation with my father, I cried out to God asking Him what to do and where to go. I couldn't quite hear His voice because, frankly, I gave up and I think God realized that I hit rock bottom. Then, it started to happen. I started to hear from God, "My beloved child, exactly how far are you willing to go for Me?" "How much... Read more
The Biggest Test
Posted on October 26, 2015
This journey has been more difficult than I expected. What a rough month it’s been... If some of you don't know what I've been up to, I took 10 days off from MPD (Ministry Partnership Development) because my biological mother, who I have not seen in more than 15 years, came from Korea. So, just from that, I feel very behind in terms of MPD. Past 10 days were a mental roller coaster ride. But, the biggest test came with my father on the Sunday (25th) my mother flew back to Korea. A little context: All my family members are saved. All but my father. It’s been a struggle the past 7 months since... Read more
