Sunday in the Park
My family swiftly realized that many of my activities here in Rome revolve around food. Besides being delicious, sharing meals provides a reason to get together, something to do in the silent moments, and conversation points. It also creates an exquisitely unique environment where everyone can relax a bit, strangers can comfortably get to know each other, and anyone is welcome. A Fountain of Gratitude
This fountain of Diana might not be the most impressive in Rome, but she sits happily at one of the biggest intersections in the city. She shares the space with three other fountains, but I am drawn to this simplest of the Quattro Fontane. Her expression is so content, yet she lounges amidst chaos. Skimming… Read more >>
Growing Roots
Rome has been my home for about a month now and, let’s be honest, Rome makes a great first impression. From budding friendships to thought-provoking scenes, my brief time has included most things I love about life. As one who loves languages, new experiences, beautiful old buildings, and especially getting to know new people, moving to Rome was a recipe for success. Being here isn’t about moving, though, it’s about staying. So how have I been staying over these past weeks? Wonderfully. I praise God daily for the smooth adjustment with new faces and places. I knew my team before coming, but… Read more >>
