Unexpected Paths, Faithful God

By Dani on Track: Ministry Region: Africa - Sub-Saharan

Hi! I will be going to Uganda with Mesa Global to serve at Hope58.  I have been drawn to missions since I was young, and I could not really tell you why. The dream stemmed from the exposure I was given by my home church in California, where I learned a lot about a nonprofit based in Rwanda. I remember being a young girl and dreaming about going to Africa one day, and I just thought that was the norm. This dream was present throughout high school, but then my first trip overseas was to Thailand. My trip to Thailand wrecked me in the most beautiful way and placed a deep burden for the… Read more

Sands of Itty Bitty Goodnesses

By Cambria on Track: Business Region: Europe

What do I want to share about? How should I begin this new endeavor in sharing my life in written word?   Good question, and no pressure at all! Right now, I am filled to the brim with thanksgiving because of how good our God is. I have tasted and seen the goodness of the Lord in every conversation I have had in this fundraising season. There has not been once where I thought, God is not here. He is here. He has been with me from the beginning and to be blessed in how He has woven my story with that of all my brothers and sisters in Christ from before the first chapter of my life…how can… Read more

How did I even get here?

By Sophia on Track: Youth Development Region: Latin America

Hey hey! God is so good and I am so excited to tell you all that he is doing in my life! GoCorps is truly an incredible ministry and I cannot wait to share how I got connected to it. I became interested in missions during my freshmen year at Colorado Christian University (CCU). I met a missionary who was a counselor for missionaries in Kenya. I thought that sounded like the coolest job ever so I started to pursue missions. I had the opportunity to go to Honduras with CCU and I feel like that is the place where God broke my heart for the nations. During my sophomore year of college, I met… Read more

To the one afraid of fundraising

Featured story By Samantha on Track: Arts Region: Middle East

I wanted to share some thoughts and reflections from my fundraising journey. I know that the thought of fundraising can be intimidating and a potential barrier to saying yes to going overseas. I was nervous to begin fundraising, but now that I'm on the other side of it I wanted to share some encouragement!  First, I surprisingly enjoyed the fundraising process. It was encouraging to connect with people from so many different areas of my life, and I found that it brought a lot of closure in my transition from college and living in America to life overseas. For example: I met with my… Read more

March Update

By Zach on Track: Business Region: Europe

Hi Everyone!   Happy Easter and He is Risen!!!   Ministry This was a pretty big month for me. I am at 100% on both my monthly and one-time goal and I handed in my paperwork for my visa to the embassy in DC! Thank you so much to everyone who has donated and prayed for me as I have been preparing to leave. I truly appreciate everyone’s support in this journey as I go to Eastern Europe.   I handed in all my paperwork and my application at the Embassy in DC and now I am waiting on a call from them saying that it is approved. They told me it would take roughly 25 days to process and… Read more

February Update

By Zach on Track: Business Region: Europe

Hey Everyone!   This has been an awesome and eventful month.   Ministry My visa paperwork arrived in country and has been making its way through the translation agency and the government agencies for approval. The directorate of religion notified my team leader that they wanted a few more documents for my visa which I got to them recently, so I am hoping that it doesn’t delay the visa process much more (preferably not at all). All the visa paperwork is out of my hands at the moment until it finishes making its way through the government agencies.   I’m currently at 85.8% of my… Read more

January Update

By Zach on Track: Business Region: Europe

Hey Everyone!   Ministry Update Big praise of the month is that I got my paperwork back from the State Department! This was a big thing that I have been waiting on for a while in order to move on to the next step in the visa process. I got it mailed out to my team in Eastern Europe for the next step of going through a translation agency and 3 government agencies for approval. I learned that this step takes roughly 6 weeks, which is longer than I originally anticipated, so my departure date will be late March, maybe early April. My trip to the Embassy in DC was a success, and I got the… Read more

"We're not there, we're here"

Featured story By Lucy on Track: Languages - Linguistics Region: Middle East

But after all, what's the good? We're not there: we're here. And we jolly well can't get there. Or can we?" (Jill Pole from C. S. Lewis, The Silver Chair) Do you know what I've always wanted to do? Be a missionary. Do you know what I have always NOT wanted to do? Be a mobilizer. Be the person who is not there, but here, even though they'd most often jolly well rather be there! I've met a few people who lived overseas for a while and loved it, and God asked them to surrender their life overseas without ever surrendering their desire to see God at work in the whole world. I was (okay, still am… Read more

Reflecting on Fundraising

By Alexia on Track: Media - Communications Region: Europe

It’s no secret that my fundraising journey has looked a little different from what I had anticipated when I left GoWeek back in September of 2024. It has held countless exciting and encouraging moments, but also many filled with longing and tear-filled questions before the Father. However, looking back on this past year and a half, I can say that there is a unique beauty to be found within the process of fundraising. Fundraising in this capacity has been one of the most challenging things I’ve ever done, but also one of the most rewarding and insightful. It’s invited me into experiencing a… Read more

November Support Raising/Life Update

By Zach on Track: Business Region: Europe

Hey Everyone!   Thank you for taking the time to read my newsletter and hear about what God has done this past month!   Ministry/Support Raising Update I am at just over 63% of my monthly support goal. I got to meet with family members and God opened the door for me to speak about my support raising at several adult Sunday school classes at my childhood church over Thanksgiving week. God has continued to open up doors for me to meet with people both here in Waco and across Texas. Even when it seems like I might not have anyone else to meet with God continues to open doors by… Read more
