A Bitter Sweet Time
It seems like we spent every day of this past month with our small group and those who have been a special part of our lives here. As we reflect on the times we had with them, it has been different than before. Our first year overseas, we began to fill up our schedules with so many meetings, plans, and events that we quickly got burnt out. It was as if we kicked on "work mode" and tried to do everything we learned to do that is considered "min!stry." Great Celebrations
As we reflect on the month of March, we are able to see the beauty in pouring out His love on those around us as an overflow of our hearts and not out of our own efforts. He led us to many special times this month and we would like to share the highlights with you. Women's Day Gathering March 8th is International Women's Day and a very much celebrated holiday here. A Life of Abundance
We can't believe February is gone! Although it was a short month, we feel like we were very productive and have continued to learn more about Him and His heart for us. Small Group Most of our small group is graduating this summer and we have been talking a lot about the future. Not knowing what is next can be intimidating but we have been encouraging them to pursue their dreams and not settle for less. We have noticed that the Soviet mindset still echoes in this generation. Fresh Beginnings!
2014 was a long year and we were excited and ready to say good bye to it! We received 2015 with our hearts opened and holding our Papa's hand tighter than ever before! New Year's Eve Our friend invited us to spend New Year's Eve with his family and we had a lovely time together. After fireworks on the streets, lots of delicious food, the president's speech and some dancing in the leaving room, we met with more friends downtown to see more fireworks.
