Letter to Future Goers: He Will Catch You

By on Track: Arts Region: Middle East

Dear Future Goers,  My life has forever been changed. My heart and soul have been imprinted with a new culture, a new people, a new life. My eyes see life with new colors, my ears hear different sounds, my mind expanding to understand others' way of life. My life is rich and colorful, surrounded by an international community of believers that so clearly portray the diversity of Christ’s church. I have seen God move in more ways than could be imagined, through me and through others. I have seen the need throughout the world, the heart cry of millions of people, crying out without even… Read more >>

My Yoke is Easy

By on Track: Arts Region: Middle East

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30A lot of my previous blogs have been about learning to listen to God or having the courage to obey Him no matter what. Learning to Hear God's Voice: Part 2

By on Track: Arts Region: Middle East

Hey Friends,    In my last blog post, I shared about how God has been teaching me to listen to His voice.    But how did I start? By taking time to pray and to listen. At the beginning of all of this, I was inspired by stories of Christians, now and in ages past, who would spend hours in prayer. So I began to intentionally wake up earlier in the morning to spend more time in prayer. A fellow teammate also inspired me to LISTEN to God more. Not just to talk to him, but to blank my mind and just listen. So I began to spend time doing that, asking God “what do you have for me… Read more >>

Learning to Hear God's Voice: Part 1

By on Track: Arts Region: Middle East

I think if you asked me, what is the thing you learned most on the mission field, I would have to say I have learned how to hear God's voice. Even just writing this makes me want to tear up, because for years I used to say I struggled with hearing the voice of God. In high school, it was a really big insecurity for me: how do I make life decisions if I can’t hear God’s voice? Yet in the past 6 months, God has been taking me on a journey of learning to hear His voice. I think in reality, God was speaking to me the whole time, I just kept ignoring Him, or saying that it was just me. I could… Read more >>

Pushing through fear to find GREAT JOY

By on Track: Arts Region: Middle East

This past month and a half, God has taught me a lot about obedience and pushing through fear to follow the Holy Spirit. In the past year, I have gotten a lot more comfortable talking with people at outreaches. But talking to random people on the street? Sharing the Gospel with a random person in the metro? Not my thing….terrifies me. But for months now, I have felt the Holy Spirit asking me to do it. I keep hearing the verse over and over, "If you love me, keep my commandments" (John 14:15). After several weeks of ignoring or not doing it and feeling guilt, I just decided to try? What do… Read more >>
