My Letter to Future Goers
Posted on March 9, 2020
I have now been back in America for a whole week. During this time, I'm having the opportunity to process these last two years, get used to the reality of being in the US again, and prepare for my next steps. I'm excited to say that I hope to continue working overseas for as long as God has me there. These last two years have been very foundational for my future as well as a major source of growth for me. He has taken me on quite a ride, and here are 7 things that I have learned these last two years. 1. Don't be afraid to use this time to develop yourself. Perhaps you will feel pressure to... This is the Confidence

At this point, I am still Stateside, but hoping to leave for the field within the next month. A major deterrent is that I still lack all of the funds needed to get to the field. This fact is a burden on me, and I often find myself feeling discouraged. However, I know that the LORD is faithful, and though I still have a great need, time and again He has fulfilled some of the need by bringing in partners and some of the funds—even when I have not been as faithful. These times are encouraging to me, as they are little reminders that this is still His will. I am down to the final bit, and I know... Read more
When Peoples Gather Together

“Let this be recorded for a generation to come,so that a people yet to be created may praise the LORD:that he looked down from his holy height;from heaven, the LORD looked at the earth,to hear the groans of the prisoners,to set free those who were doomed to die, that they may declare in Zion the name of the LORD,and in Jerusalem his praise, when peoples gather together, and kingdoms, to worship the LORD.” ~ Psalm 102:18-22 I’ve been in training with a group of others for a month now, and I have two weeks to go. Today, I said “goodbye” to many dear friends. In my grief, however, I am full of... Read more
One Step Closer

Hello! I am currently half-way through support raising, which means that I am that much closer to getting to the field! I am excited about what is to come, but I still have much work to do beforehand. It's not particularly easy, but I know that I will find fulfillment through this process. It is helpful to have others on my team who have been in a similar position, or who are working through these things now. My job of working with refugees is important work needing to be done—and critical, at the moment—thus, it deserves to be given my full attention. This means coming at my current work of... Read more
Journey with Me
Posted on June 1, 2017
Hello! I am a Goer who will be serving in Northern Africa beginning this coming Fall. For the next two years, I will be working with refugees coming from all over Africa and the Middle East. I will be predominantly learning Arabic to aid my ministry. There are currently around 6,000 unreached people in the world. These are people who have never heard the name of Jesus. Most of these are actually Muslims. Much work has already been done in this work, and more people groups are cultivating larger numbers of Jesus followers, which is awesome! However, with the more recent influx of Middle... Read more
