The One With Quiet Songs
“What am I doing?” This is a category option we have for posting our blogs here and really it is a deep question. I’ve been asking myself this a lot the last two weeks. On February 23 I finished up my training in North Carolina, and as of Monday night, I am back “home.” For about the past week two weeks, I have had many conversations with friends, co-laborers, and supporters. The One With Families
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens… This verse (Ecclesiastes 3:1) is a word from God that I consistently return to when I am troubled or confused by His timing. This journey has been long, and I feel like there will be no end to the phone calls, emails, and difficult asks to get to my needed amounts to head overseas. However, one thing that my cohort leader told me that has stuck with me is, “You are being faithful to God by… Read more >>
The One With A Reputation

It seemed like nobody was answering their phones, emails, or messages. I was stuck in this awful rut, and through it all, I forgot. I forgot what it meant to pray. I got frustrated and closed myself off from God. I answered questions from others with grace, but struggled with confusion over lack of funding. I was fighting this battle where I knew that God had called me to this work, but He did not appear to be supplying in a… Read more >>
