Happy Almost New Year!
Currently, I am doing a little bit of everything, and a little bit of nothing. To paint the picture, it’s currently snowing outside with many people’s Christmas lights still aglow, and the temperatures are quickly dropping to the negatives again.
First and foremost, I am still (STILL) support raising. This journey has been long, and I feel like there will be no end to the phone calls, emails, and difficult asks to get to my needed amounts to head overseas. However, one thing that my cohort leader told me that has stuck with me is, “You are being faithful to God by asking.”
Coming up in two short weeks, I will be heading to training! This will be 6 weeks of intensive classes and homework to help me prepare for what I will encounter on the field. I already have a few pre-work assignments, which I should probably start soon….
The past couple of weeks, I have been back home in the Midwest meeting with lots of family, friends, neighbors, and teachers. Many of those meetings have been very successful, but I am still (STILL) waiting for God to drop this massive amount of cash in my lap and say “here you go, you can be done now.” Unfortunately, I was told that doesn’t really happen, and technically we shouldn’t push our luck on the lottery to be fully funded.
So, although I do not have any fantastic words of wisdom this month, I would like to ask for continued prayer.
Key Requests:
1. To be fully funded!
2. Motivation to make phone calls to meet with as many people as possible before training!
3. An open & clear head and heart for training.
4. Important bonding time with family, friends & teammates before I head out to the field.
