Merry Christmas!

By on Track: Compassion - Justice Region: Middle East

Wow! I'm so sorry it's been a while since I've posted anything new! Life has been whirling by even without the hustle and bustle of the holiday season like we have in America. This holiday season has been hard as I've been away from family and the comforts of home. I took a personal day with the Lord last week and spent time reflecting on this while also gaining some really great perspective through this time.  You know for so many Christmas seasons before today I longed for the time when I would be able to be out in the nations serving and sharing the Good News. Last Christmas before I… Read more >>

When Ignorance Gives You New Perspective

By on Track: Compassion - Justice Region: Middle East

Four weeks ago today I landed in country to start my two-year journey. Up until this point I had been busy building a support team, working out logistics to move and spending as much time with family and friends that I could. In Flight

By on Track: Compassion - Justice Region: Middle East

Today is the day. I am sitting at the airport waiting for my flight to take off and leave the United States. This week was one full of good byes. I caught myself thinking at the beginning of the week that I had to craft these 'perfect" good byes as if saying perfect good byes could avoid the feelings of loss to come. Once I realized there is no such thing as a perfect good bye I felt a sense of relief knowing it wasn't good bye, but see you later. God puts people in our lives for different reasons in different seasons. Community is one of my favorite creations made by our Creator. I don't… Read more >>

The Support Raising Journey in Review

By on Track: Compassion - Justice Region: Middle East

Hello All! It's official! I am fully funded and my plane ticket has been purchased. I will be flying out October 1 and landing in country on October 2. It's both an exciting and scary feeling to be on this end of the equation. It's crazy to realize that less than sixth months ago I didn't even know I would be getting on a plane and moving out of the country for the next two years of my life. What's even crazier is to realize less than three months ago I was only STARTING the fund raising process.  To say support raising is a journey might sound cliché, but there truly is no better way to… Read more >>
