Wow! I'm so sorry it's been a while since I've posted anything new!
Life has been whirling by even without the hustle and bustle of the holiday season like we have in America.
This holiday season has been hard as I've been away from family and the comforts of home. I took a personal day with the Lord last week and spent time reflecting on this while also gaining some really great perspective through this time.
You know for so many Christmas seasons before today I longed for the time when I would be able to be out in the nations serving and sharing the Good News. Last Christmas before I had any idea what I would be doing today, I read a book called "Kingdom Journies."
This book challenged me and at the same time made my heart soar. A year ago today I posted this on Facebook:
'"A ship in harbor is safe- but that is not what ships are for." -John A. Shedd, "Kingdom Journies"
Today we celebrate Jesus' coming and the PURPOSE for which He came. Jesus' coming to earth brought purpose to us all.
On this Christmas day let's remember the reason for which Jesus came, the reason for why we are here, &the faith we are called to live by as we step in line with God's purpose for our lives. We may be called out of the harbor, but we can find peace on the journey through trust in our Savior."
So although it is really hard to be away this Christmas, the center of my soul could not be more satisfied. I am no longer sitting, waiting and dreaming of the possibility of going to serve internationally. No instead today I am living it and ONLY by the grace of the Lord am I able to.
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas! Be watching your inboxes for this month's newsletter soon!
