Living in a barnyard
I don’t live in the cleanest place in the world. The streets are usually coated in a fresh layer of dust and trash. Despite the sweeping I see people doing, the streets never do get 100% picked up. If i’m lucky I can go two weeks without having to walk through water from a broken sewage line and sometimes when I walk through the streets liquid falls on me from apartments above (I have resolved to believe this is from air conditioners). How to lap swim: N.Africa edition
First of all, this is not where I live (sadly). This is a picture from vacation but one of my only ones with water in it! 1. Find a place to swim. Sounds easy enough! So, I began asking tons of people. All my options were an hour and a half away and only open in the middle of the day or thousands of dollars a year. Life lessons
This month I am relearning some of my biggest and simplest life lessons. I have a tendency to fill my schedule to the brim. I love moving and getting things done. I love meeting with as many people as I can. I love seeing new things and doing new things. But I have been back here less than a month and many of my responsibilities have slipped as I am distracted by new things. I haven't had a good sabbath rest this month because I fill them up with friends or things to finish up. I am a child of God: the Most High, the King of kings, my Savior, my Rock. He loves me with a passionate and jealous love and He has created me for my exact purpose.
