and I will trust in the Lord
Accepting that he takes things away. This month, God gave me some cool gifts; this week, he took them away. We had been renting an apartment with hardly any sun and a very dirty kitchen. Our landlord hadn't been communicating well with our roommates and had threatened to kick them out. So, we decided to start looking for better apartments. In the dark with my hands tied
The room was about 6x8 with two couches and a desk. I sat, sandwiched between my american roommate and the other woman from this country. I saw a lot of pain and people that seemed forgotten and looked over. When I was walking and praying into these things, I felt smashed and stuffed in my city. I found myself purposefully… Read more >>
Emotions exist
2016 has taken off at full speed here. The days are racing by and I am overwhelmed when I think back on all that has happened in this last month. My memories of the last 31 days are a blob of emotions; joy, sadness, excitement, anxiety, exhaustion, frustration and triumph. I was overwhelmed with joy as I spent the Christmas holiday with my boyfriend and his family. It was such a special gift to sit with a family who is experienced in this type of work and just be. We explored a lot of Spain, ate too much food, played a ton of games, laughed and rested together; it was a fun time of really… Read more >>
