I wish I could think of a less cheesy way to put this but....Wow! June sure has gone by fast! Here's an overview of what has been going on!
- Our team went to India!! The first part of our trip was in Kolkata. We were there for four days visiting ministries and touring the city. One stop included a museum dedicated to Mother Teresa, a truly amazing woman! Traffic there was CRAZY, but the food was GOOD!!

I was ไม่สบาย (not feeling well). It was pretty hot outside, and I knew I probably looked a little pitiful walking into my community. Regardless, with each person I would encounter, I'd try to put on a nice smile when I would greet them. Part of me was kind of hoping that no one would ask any questions and that I'd be able to get away with just laying low. I found out that's pretty much not possible! Language has been a bit of struggle, but I continue to be encouraged by the team members I study with and also by my teacher. I appreciate how caring others are towards me..especially at this point in learning. My teacher has been offering me a little one on one time, and that has been helpful. I've also been seeking extra help from another teacher and looking forward to how that will benefit me..hopefully I will be improving more and more and become bolder in the next couple months!

Hey there. Recently, I've been thinking a lot about friendships...particularly about how friendships we build often come in and out of our lives like seasons. This is difficult for me to try and live out because I find it taxing to let people go. Before college I really didn't have a concept of seasonal friendships, so this is fairly new to me. I knew when I made this two year commitment that I should expect the unexpected...if that's even possible. And after not even four months of being here,so much has been shaken up in my life. This isn't bad; it's actually a really good thing. But it's challenging.
