Hi friends!
Here is my very first monthly update!! I’m so excited to start sharing updates about what’s going on in my life and how the Lord is working as I prepare to move to Spain. These updates will be pretty informal, just me chatting with you all like friends. I hope you enjoy!
A month and a half ago, I got back from GoWeek, my fundraising training week with GoCorps. I left feeling prepared and ready to take on this new season of fundraising. Since then, the Lord has been so, so good in providing and moving in ways I couldn’t have imagined.
At first, the fundraising numbers felt a bit daunting, and they even rose slightly due to additional visa and setup expenses. But I’ve been confident that if the Lord has called me to this role, He will provide, and He absolutely is. I’ve had so many conversations where hearts have been open and generous, and I am blown away by the kindness and faithfulness of my supporters.
As of now, the Lord has provided 30% of my monthly goal and 60% of my one-time setup costs, and I’m only a little over a month into this journey.
My goal is to have everything fully fundraised by December 14, so thank you all for your continued generosity, encouragement, and prayers. You are truly helping make this possible and answering God’s call alongside me.

A peek into life lately :)
This past month has been full! Between support meetings, follow-ups, working part-time at Berkley Hills Church, and staying active, I’ve been keeping busy.
A couple of weeks ago, I ran the Grand Rapids Marathon with World Vision, raising money to help provide clean drinking water for those in need. It was such a challenging yet rewarding experience. I was supposed to run with my roommate Josie, but she got injured the night before, which was heartbreaking after all our training. I ended up running the race with another friend from church, but later that week, she got cleared to run again and said, “Jada, I still want to run a half-marathon. Do you want to do it with me?” And of course, I said yes! So, Saturday, we ran a half-marathon together and crossed that finish line just like we had hoped (even though it wasn't an official race)
I’ve also been cheering on Cornerstone Women’s Soccer this fall. It has been fun supporting my teammates and friends through their season, though it’s definitely strange (and a little sad) to be on the sidelines instead of the field.
I’ve also been enjoying time with my roommates. We went to Robinette’s a few weeks ago, which was such a fun fall outing!
How you can pray for me
- Continued energy and motivation during this fundraising season
- That the Lord would continue to provide financial and prayer support
- That I would keep relying fully on His timing and plan
- For the Lord to prepare and soften the hearts of people in Santiago to know Him as their Savior
One last thing
