The Multimedia Artist + Storyteller is a dynamic and innovative role that blends artistic creativity with compelling storytelling to capture the compelling love of God at work in the hearts of people and their environment. The role requires a versatile and imaginative individual with a keen eye for aesthetics, a strong command of visual storytelling techniques, and the ability to bring ideas to life across various mediums. In addition, the Multimedia Artist + Storyteller is responsible for overseeing and designing consistent content across all communication platforms and tailoring messaging for different audiences and strategic goals. Working closely with community initiatives, the worker will need to acquire a conversational level of Spanish that enhances communication.
Goers in this role will be expected to create social cohesion across various platforms such as social media, websites, presentations, and other channels of communication to stimulate the social economy. They will need project management skills and the ability to collaborate with local partners to develop creative concepts and ideas for multimedia projects that align with organizational objectives and storytelling goals. They will be asked to create captivating visual content, including but not limited to videos, animations, illustrations, infographics, photography, and interactive media to enhance user engagement. This role will require managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality multimedia assets.
Visual Storytelling:
As a visual storyteller, the goer will combine visual elements, audio, and written content to ethically tell stories that provoke emotions, capture attention, and leave a lasting impact. They will ensure that all multimedia content aligns with the organization's visual identity, style guidelines, mission, and messaging. Goers in this role will also need to stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in multimedia production, storytelling, and visual communication.
Complete required trainings within 6 months of arrival
Experience in multimedia production, visual storytelling, and creative content creation.
Proficiency in multimedia software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or other relevant tools.
Creative thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Strong understanding of design principles, color theory, composition, and visual aesthetics.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
A passion for staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in multimedia and visual communication.
An understanding of data reporting and analytics
Knowledge and understanding of photography art and lighting science
A friendly and kind personality to work with people
Have or complete B2 Level Spanish
