Bringing Change
It has been a busy few months but God has worked in many people’s lives during this time. As I recently passed the eight month mark of my time here in west Asia. I can’t help but be amazed at how many lives have been changed and how God is able to work in so many different ways. I have seen multiple groups of both men and women give their lives to Christ and publicly show it through baptism at the local church I regularly attend. A need being met
Meeting the needs of others is one of the biggest callings we have as followers of Christ. We see areas where each of us can pour into the lives of others every day, although we don’t always recognize them. Whether it is giving financially, spiritual guidance, emotional support, teaching or just working alongside someone; God wants us to help those in need. I have found the latter to be where most of my time is spent since I began my time here. Let Go And Let God
Some of the best advice I have gotten since my time here began, was to “focus on the small victories and let go of the failures”. This has helped me a lot with the various struggles and issues that come along with living in a fallen world. Even more so I think in this part of the world, where things are harder and take longer than you expect when you grow up in the US. Laying A Good Foundation
Anyone who knows about building any kind of large structure will tell you that the foundation is one of if not the most important part. As I am approaching month 2 on the field, it seems appropriate that as I am laying the foundation for my future here in terms of relationships and my position; I am laying the foundation for the future of this ministry.
