Some of the best advice I have gotten since my time here began, was to “focus on the small victories and let go of the failures”. This has helped me a lot with the various struggles and issues that come along with living in a fallen world. Even more so I think in this part of the world, where things are harder and take longer than you expect when you grow up in the US. Over the last 4 months, as I said goodbye to friends and family for a while and launched into this new part of life, it has been challenging and there have been times I have failed to accomplish goals. At times I have worried more than I should about various things, some I have no control over. But, I have also had many small victories in my life and work that have encouraged me to keep going and trusting God. I have found that my current role here has changed some from what I expected but I know now that I was sent here to fill a need. As the next month’s come I hope to remind myself and others to give all things to God and trust in his will.
