Finding Purpose
I made it. I finally made it to Africa. This week has been filled with many orientation classes and time getting to know the area in which I am living. Which in theory is good, but for me has been frustrating. I have been so eager to get to Africa and start serving, this time is making me feel dull and unproductive. New Year in Christ
As the holiday season comes to an end and a new year is upon us, I have noticed everyone starting to make their New Year’s resolutions. I decide that since I was moving shortly after the new year, it would not be a good idea to make my own personal resolutions. I recently spent two days at the Ohio Annual Social Work conference. This year the conference focused on how social workers can become agents of change. It was cool to think about how the 500+ people in the room with me all chose professions where they would be helping people, systems, and society move towards positive change. This made me think about how God is that agent of change in each of our lives.
