Time flies when you are having fun! It has been quite awhile since my last blog post. A lot has happened since then. I have been on the field for a over 3 months. I have adjusted well to the culture. It is a bit frightening being in a country with a whole different language and culture, at first I was worried how I would go to the grocery store, going shopping or even use public transportation. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;Isaiah 43:2 This past week, the Texas coast was hit by Hurricane Harvey. It was horrible to see on the news and social media how destructive Harvey was. I am so heartbroken to see so many families and communities affected lose their homes, their everything. I cannot fathom what they must have emotionally and physically going through. Just hearing Harvey unleash 9 trillion gallons of water on the coast is devastating. This past weekend I was on my way to an appointment. It was about a 3 hour drive to my destination. During the drive I was stuck in traffic and amidst a thunderstorm when I received a phone call from my mom with some good news from a supporter and words of encouragement. After my mom hung up, I began to play some worship songs and "Oceans" came on.
