Sunday. National Day of Prayer.

Posted on Sunday, September 3, 2017

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;
Isaiah 43:2

This past week, the Texas coast was hit by Hurricane Harvey. It was horrible to see on the news and social media how destructive Harvey was. I am so heartbroken to see so many families and communities affected lose their homes, their everything. I cannot fathom what they must have emotionally and physically going through. Just hearing Harvey unleash 9 trillion gallons of water on the coast is devastating.

I am thankful to hear from friends living in the area are safe with their family.  I did not think that my family and I would experience the aftermath of the hurricane as we live in Dallas, but we sure did. There was a gas crisis. So many stations ran out of gasoline and prices shot up.

I want to take moment to pray for those affected by Harvey.  Pray for those who lost so much for the Lord to provide and have His hand on them. Pray for spiritual, emotional, and physical rest to those affected, the first-responders and volunteers. Pray for those who are working their way back home. Pray for the recovery efforts. Pray.

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28
