Simple Understanding
I have been going to an only German speaking church since January. Since this time I have seen how I have grown in my understanding- particulary with sermon comprehension. At the beginning I was just picking out words here and there. But know, I am understanding simple messages- and sometimes that is all I need- a simple reminder of the truth. Missions- it's different than you think
Spoiler Alert! Missions is different than you think. Some of the questions that I have been thinking about lately include the following: What is the difference between long and short-term missions? (How do you- the reader- even define short and long term?) What does the every day life of a missionary look like? Not Just One Culture
Almost every Thursday for the past 7 months I have been meeting with my cohort for what we call "Track Days." This is a day that we gather and discuss and learn about different topics that are important for our life in Berlin. The tracks that we have are Cultural Intelligence, Urban Theology, Spiritual Disciplines, and a day to talk about our ministry placements. A City of Discovery
1. During my time here in Berlin I have met people with big hopes and dreams. Maybe they are practical dreams like trying to find a job. But maybe the dream is to make it big. Whatever the dream is, people come to Berlin to make it happen. But a city is not what can make it happen.
