Hey everyone, welcome to another update from Spain!
This month of July has been really a huge blessing and been an incredible learning experience for me! Earlier this month, I went to a conference in Switzerland! I spent a week there with all of my organization's missionaries from around Europe, and it was such an amazing and incredible time. For me, it was a time that I would describe as restful more than anything, where I was able to rest from regular work, and just spend time worshiping the Lord. It was also just incredibly encouraging to be able to hear the stories of God's faithfulness and what He's doing throughout Europe.
It was such an incredible experience and quite a stark contrast with the following weeks. A lot of my teammates are going on home assignment this summer so with so few people around, it was a really slow couple of weeks following the conference. But the Lord was preparing me for that time even beforehand. He put it on my mind to make a short film with some friends that I have from my church. So I was able to spend those two weeks preparing for that short film that I'll be filming in August!
Also in those two weeks, me and another teammate were able to do some of the random jobs that we don't usually get to do. We were able to finish redoing and renovating the whole green room area outside of our studio so that we have a clean, updated place to work. Even with just a few people being around, we were still able to do a couple days of filming this month. We were able to record 31 different two-minute shorts for our target culture and we were also able to do more podcast episodes for Comunicando Vida, the Spanish side of the ministry. It was really a lot of fun to be able to get both of those shots all prepared and ready to film.
Now I'm in the middle of editing, and so be in prayer that the Lord would give me strength to be able to finish the editing in the next couple of weeks. Please be praying as I have my short film that I mentioned coming up. We're going to be filming August so please be in prayer that the weekend would go well, that it would be a fun experience for everyone involved.
Also be in prayer that at the end of August, I would be safe as I go on a vacation trip up to France. I'll be doing some camping and hiking up in France, so pray that would be a really special time and that the Lord would allow me to rest and connect with Him.
