A Love Song on Repeat
You know how you can listen to a song on repeat for weeks at a time, just because you love the song so much? Then after those weeks go by, you get tired of the song and move on to a new one? I don’t know about you, but I definitely to that. I think this also happens with things we learn in life. That’s why we make the same mistakes twice. That’s why we desperately need a Savior. Long Distance
As I begin to feel more settled into my new space, in my new country of service, things start to feel less “new”. I have a routine now. Wake up, work out, go to language class, etc. Visiting a new place and living in a new place are two completely different things. These past few weeks, I’ve been overwhelmed by more than adjusting to life in a different culture, but also by how grateful I am by God’s… Read more >>
Slow Down... But Hurry Up!
I’m only a week or so away from departing for the field, and I have so much to do! I’ve got to pack my life away in a few suitcases, make sure I have all the official documents, and pick which books are the most important to bring (which is a super hard decision for a bookworm like me to make). All while trying to spend time with family and friends, and saying intentional goodbyes. My head is spinning. I’m overwhelmed. I’m busy. But this is God’s work, right? Aren’t I supposed to be busy? When questions pop into my mind and I wonder what’s right and wrong… Read more >>
