Four things I’ve learned about fundraising

Well, I’m one month into fundraising and here's some stuff I’ve learned… 1. Fundraising is hard To be honest, I’m pretty tired. I don’t care how organized you are, it’s very challenging to juggle all the communication involved in making lots of appointments. It’s takes a lot of energy to do all that you need to in raising your support. 2. Fundraising is fun At the beginning of the month, I was mostly nervous about appointments. Why am I doing this?

Hello! My name is Caroline, and I will be serving refugees in the Middle East for the next two years. Here's why I am doing this... I learned about the global refugee crisis in the fall of 2015 and felt God calling me to serve refugees and immigrants with my life. In the summer of 2016 I got to work as an intern for Immigration Legal Services. Through that experience, I got to sit with many refugee families as they were resettling in the US and hear their stories.
