I wrote this blog post on the way back from Costa Rica. I had forgotten about it, but I thought you all might like to read it now.
I read in a book once that every time this character saw her home she could feel her heart sing. Well, I felt my heart sing when I saw the lights of my city below the clouds. I couldn't be happier to be home.
Home is where the heart is. I've thought a lot on this quote ever since I first moved to college. I have to agree. There's a verse that states "where your heart is, there may your treasure be also." I think home is that treasure.

Thankfulness:
I realized that I’ve never told y’all what my schedule looks like. So I’m going to start off by telling you what my normal week looks like before I tell you guys about everything that I’m thankful for. If you already know my schedule or just don’t want to read it, you can skip to the thankfulness part.

I had a great talk with one of my students today. To be honest, all of our conversations are really good. Have you ever know someone who just makes you want to be a better person? I have. I’ve met many such people. This time that person is one of my students. He is also my Mexican little brother. I call him my baby brother and he calls me his big sister. I saw this stained glass window the other day. Half of each individual plane was clear and the other half was cloudy. It reminded me of how I'm viewing the Mexican culture. I'm only seeing part of it. Until I fully understand the language, I will still only see part of the culture. It's hard to try to understand something when you don't understand one of the fundamental aspects of said thing.
