I’m well over a month into support-raising! Wow...saying this time has flown would be a ridiculous understatement. SO much has happened since GoWeek. Some good, and some not great, but through it all God has been amazingly faithful and near to me. Between grieving the loss of my grandma, officially quitting my jobs as a barista and homecare aid, and saying goodbye to my home and loved ones in Washington, my faith has been all sorts of stretched in this time. It's really here! Support raising time has come. Well, a couple more days of training, and THEN it's official. This week of training, though exhausting, has been amazingly rewarding so far. Coming in to this GoWeek in Pittsburgh I knew very little about what to expect, (I mean really, I didn't even know Pittsburgh had skyscrapers...#westcoastbestcoast). It's been a time of bonding with fellow Goers and with leaders, learning support raising methods, and gaining vision of the organizations we're preparing to work with!
