Dear Future Goers, I hope that as you make preparations and say goodbyes that you feel the deep security of the great God who has great grace for us! A few Sundays ago, I had the opportunity to go out and participate in a rare event- something that has not happened in my country for 20+ years. In my time here in North Africa, I’ve come to understand that the people who live here are very emotionally expressive. Large, dramatic hand gestures accompany storytelling and emphasize every word directly, veeeeery close to your face. Loud voices ring while talking about every day topics, like the price of tomatoes. It began with ripped pants and ended with four keys…like most things in my life (just kidding). It began in my college years- I was newly refreshed in Christ, ready to tackle any challenge ahead of me, and waiting for a word from the Lord to just GOOOOO out and serve outside of my city!
