Summary of a Journey

By on Track: Media - Communications Region: Europe

My missions pastor from my home church asked if I would share my gospel story. At our church we have gospel stories (200-400 words) that give a glimpse of the stories that our present in our church. Mine was shared on the website during the month of September and I thought I would share it here as well. Here is a brief summary of the journey that brought me to Berlin. Being a missionary in a different country was never in my plan. I had gone on several mission trips and enjoyed supporting it in various ways, but never even thought about it as a possibility. Then, God placed it in front of me… Read more >>

Reminders

By on Track: Media - Communications Region: Europe

God has blessed me with the passion for reading. These past couple of weeks I rediscovered this passion. I know it has always been there, but when I pick up a book for pleasure and can read it for hours I remember how much I like reading. It’s amazing how you forget that you like something! How does that happen? Will one day I just happen to forget that I really like Thai food and hiking in the woods? If I forget something as basic as reading, then… Read more >>

Distractions

I have viewed distractions as ways to get out of doing something (procrastination at it’s best) or something that prevents me from thinking or dwelling on a topic I don’t want to think about. I’ve been reflecting on this lately as my schedule has changed in the month of July… Read more >>

A Prayer to "Be"

"Trust Me with every detail of your life."- Jesus Calling Devotional    "Everything that happens fits into a pattern of good, to those who love Me." (Rom. 8:28) While living in a big city it is hard sometimes to stop doing "things." Things in the sense that they aren't necessary, but we do them anyway. Everyone around you is rushing to some place and things pass by in a blur. Recently, during one of these times in my life I wrote a prayer to God about this problem. Maybe you have done something similar. If so, I would like to hear your prayer so that it can be an encouragement to… Read more >>

Snow

By on Track: Media - Communications Region: Europe

Snow: A blanket of snow can create something dull and colorless into something magical. How it covers the buildings and falls on the trees makes everything appear serene. It has a refreshing presence as everything turns white and quiet. It has been hard living in a city that does not get much snow. I forgot how much snow has an impact on my life. It affects how I think about Christmastime, it affects how I think about driving, and it affects how I celebrate winter. It is hard to have snowball fights, make snow angels, and catch snowflakes on your tongue when it isn’t there.  Last week… Read more >>
