"Trust Me with every detail of your life."- Jesus Calling Devotional "Everything that happens fits into a pattern of good, to those who love Me." (Rom. 8:28)
While living in a big city it is hard sometimes to stop doing "things." Things in the sense that they aren't necessary, but we do them anyway. Everyone around you is rushing to some place and things pass by in a blur. Recently, during one of these times in my life I wrote a prayer to God about this problem. Maybe you have done something similar. If so, I would like to hear your prayer so that it can be an encouragement to others! Here is my prayer:
Hear my prayer O Lord to trust you- to stamp on my heart that you do good to those who love you. May my focus be on You. May I be like Mary and sit at your feet and "be" rather than Martha and "do". While I focus and be with you may I find joy- a joy rooted in you. I want my heart to be filled with your joy and love. Only when I am in You can I truly share this love to others.
In moments of doubt, when I wished I lived somewhere else or wished to do something different with my time, I remember You know all things and your plan is greater! I pray that in those moments to draw closer to you- to have more of You and less of me.
