The Past 2 Years with GoCorps

Ever since the day I hit Berlin soil on September 12, 2013, my mind and soul have been whirring...in a crazy, Spirit-anointed kinda way. I am constantly learning in a way that was not possible for me before in America. In every moment there is something new to process, to take in, to experience, to pray about, to understand, whether it be learning the German language, understanding the one of many cultures in Berlin, discovering our team dynamics, or understanding each individual person and how they see the world. I have learned how deeply diverse our God is. I have learned how creative... Read more

Ministry with CRU Since November I have begun working with a second ministry, Campus für Christus (CRU). Many may be familiar with CRU from the States and that it is a student ministry with the vision to reach and invest in college students through evangelism and discipleship. I am so grateful for this outlet for my gift of evangelism. The past few months have been fun, getting to engage with many different students via various outreaches (we invite students to do surveys relating to spiritual questions/matters). The desire is to encounter students who are hungry for God or hungry to know... Read more
Let's Run!

Rather train yourself for godliness; for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come. -1 Timothy 4:7b-8 (ESV) ...let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith... -Hebrews 12:1b-2a (ESV) These verses have been imprinted on my spirit this past week. This yearning to run. This need to run. This need to give everything you have and push further... Read more

This is an update of the lives of some of the women we are ministering to at Neustart and the steps of redemption God is lovingly bringing them through. J: J is a young Polish girl who was once part of a Satanic cult but whose heart is in a state of seemingly rebellious searching. What I mean by that is she expresses her fears, concerns and questions often in the form of closed remarks or piercingly hateful comments. She talks about how evil God is but continues to bring Him up in conversations and makes jokes about my "relationship" with Him. I see this as a real search of her heart and soul... Read more
Enduring Evil

"And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will." -2 Timothy 2:24-26 (ESV) After several weeks of hearing and facing evil, this verse was exactly what I needed to read this morning. The past few weeks at Cafe Neustart, I have heard prostituted women talk crudely about God and the Bible; heard them... Read more
