Letter to Future Goers

By on Track: University Outreach Region: Middle East

I am so thankful for my two years overseas with GoCorps. I wouldn't trade my experience for anything. But looking back, there are a few things I would have done differently. I am so thankful for God's grace and I try to always remember that life is a journey.  I love learning language. I love learning about different cultures. I love thinking and reading and learning about how we as Christians can share the gospel in the most "effective" way possible. While those are all great things, sometimes I realized I was relying more on my own knowledge and understanding than on the Lord and his… Read more >>

Christmas - Many Nations

By on Track: University Outreach Region: Middle East

Merry Christmas and happy new year!!! I hope you all have enjoyed this past holiday season. While it has been hard to be away from family and friends at home these past few months, my team and I have really enjoyed our time together celebrating Christmas in new ways together here. Several of us have been attending an international church here, and we were so blessed and encouraged by the Christmas celebration there. We sang a song together praying for the salvation of the 27 countries represented at our church. It was beautiful. I have now had the same teacher since last October so almost exactly one year. Classes at our school are on on one. Last year I took 16 hhours with my teacher per week, and this year I only take 12 per week. But I am so so thankful because not… Read more >>

A Three Fold Cord

By on Track: University Outreach Region: Middle East

I loveeeeeeee my roommates/ two other girls on my team. However, when I first moved here, it was hard for me to always be with them. Leaving America and moving to a new place, I realized how much I put my identity in what people thought of me back home as apposed to who I am as a daughter of God. Even though I loved my roommates a lot and could not have been more thankful for them, I wanted space to make a new identity for myself here. A few months ago, I was strongly convicted of how selfish this was. I often went off on my own to meet girls and make friendships. Even though this in and of… Read more >>
