Lead With Joy: Become an Activities Director for At-Risk Girls in Rural Uganda
Are you energetic, creative, and passionate about encouraging youth through fun, meaningful connection? Do you love planning and leading activities that build confidence, deepen relationships, and bring joy? If so, this may be the mission opportunity you’ve been waiting for!
Welcome to Uganda—known as the Pearl of Africa—a lush, equatorial country where you’ll find the source of the Nile River, the shores of Lake Victoria, and a beautiful, resilient people.
But beneath the natural beauty lies a deep need: thousands of teenage girls in rural villages who have dropped out of school due to poverty, early marriage, and lack of opportunity. At the New Life Ministry Center, we offer these girls a second chance—through education, vocational training, and the love of Jesus.
We are seeking an Activities Director to work alongside our Ugandan staff in coordinating evening and weekend programs for 48 residential teen girls. This role includes organizing clubs, sports, games, gardening, drama, dance, music, crafts, and one-on-one or small group discipleship. Your creativity, leadership, and presence will be a key part of helping girls experience healing, joy, and transformation during their time at New Life.
You’ll live on a missionary housing compound just steps from the center, surrounded by a caring, multi-generational missionary team. New missionaries receive mentorship, spiritual encouragement, and the joy of living life-on-life in gospel community. If you’re self-motivated, relational, and excited about making a lasting impact in young lives, we’d love for you to join us. The girls in Uganda are waiting!
