Communications and Marketing Coordinator

Furniture Friends is a ministry that provides free furniture for international students at the University of Arkansas and resettled Refugees in our area. We receive furniture donations from the community, furniture stores, and businesses. We then partner with church groups and other believers to help us deliver items to families while making relational connections that open doors for us to share the hope of Christ with peoples from all over the world. Most students and refugees are coming from the 10/40 window area of the world (most unreached areas with the gospel). We served 360+ international families last year. We are in need of more ministry team members to help us on the furniture (business) side and the ministry engagement (relational side).

This role is for someone who is a follower of Jesus and has a heart for making sure that all International people in Fayetteville, Arkansas will be reached with the Gospel truth while mobilizing other believers to get involved through media engagement. This position will be responsible for Furniture Friends' social media accounts, website management, video creation, photography, and all other aspects of needed media. The person in this role will work to engage both international students and refugee families, as well as volunteers and churches in the community through online media initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

-Create strategies for engaging international students and refugees through online media

-Create strategies for engaging volunteers, churches, and other community members through online media

-Make consistent posts on Furniture Friends’ social media platforms - Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn

-Help create visually pleasing and engaging emails to be sent out to Furniture Friends’ email lists

-Manage the Funiture Friends website by keeping it up-to-date, easy to use, and visually appealing

-Shoot and create videos of Serve Days, Short-Term teams, International events, and more to be used on online platforms as needed

-Work with the Director of Furniture Friends to make sure all created media meets requirements and matches the needs and the vision of Furniture Friends

-Collaborate with other Funiture Friends staff/departments to help come up with creative media content ideas and stories to further all areas of the ministry

Skills:

Experience with the social media platforms Furniture Friends uses (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)

Experience with basic website development (or willingness to learn)

Experience with email platforms such as MailChimp, Constant Contact, etc

Experience with shooting and editing video (doesn't have to been professional)

Using your own cameras, phone, computers, and other equipment is required
