Hi! My name is Max, and I’m going to Central Asia for two years to pursue a position with One Collective as a Business Developer. When I was graduating from Baylor University, many friends around me started to get and accept job offers in the States, and for the most part, I was pursuing the same path. However, after spending a summer in Berlin the summer before graduating, I had a burning desire to return to a culture and people that were unlike my own. So I began asking the Lord what He wanted me to do after college. After a week of asking, a mentor introduced me to GoCorps, which was an organization that would help me continue to develop my skills in a culture unlike my own.
Immediately, when GoCorps was presented to me, it seemed too good to be true. I can pursue what I learned in college while pursuing the Kingdom of God in the farthest reaches of the world? Yes, my easy yes had already been prepared; I just needed someone to walk me through the steps to get to that place. Through every step of the process, GoCorps gave me the tools, encouragement, and empowerment to give an easy yes to going overseas.
