Frohe Weihnachten & Adventszeit from Berlin!
Hard to believe it's been 2 months since I landed! Berlin already feels so familiar I feel like I've been here longer. Everyday I feel more and more comfortable in this magical, captivating, and mesmerizing city.
I started language school back on 10/31 and am now about halfway done with my second class. Each class is an intensive 4-week class. My classes have been fairly small with about 10 people total. My classmates come from all over the world! I can already tell a huge improvement in my German.

I arrived in Berlin !!!!
On Monday 10/10 I arrived in Berlin! I had no issues or delays with any of my 3 flights and all my bags arrived on time, too, which was a MIRACLE.
My first full day in Berlin began my orientation! Most days during my first couple weeks I went to visit a different teammate in their part of the city, and they would give me a tour of their neighborhood (or Kiez as it's called in German). Hallo! Ich heiße Avery, and I’m headed off to Berlin, Germany in 2 months (eekk!). I will be working in the field of anti-trafficking which is something I’ve wanted to do for a very long time.
