As I walked into support-raising I knew that God would provide for me, but I had no idea just how quickly and fully that provision would come. Over the span of five weeks, after what seemed like thousands of Starbucks trips, several out-of-town visits, and many zoom calls, my goal for monthly commitments was met and exceeded! So many people were telling me about the extraordinary circumstances that led them to be able to financially support my ministry. It has been so amazing to see how God has been working in the lives of my ministry partners for them to be able to contribute so generously.
From here, my role is slightly less defined than it was at the start of my support campaign. I don’t have a busy schedule full of meetings anymore and my life seems to have slowed down for the time being. I spend a lot of time following up with my ministry partners and brushing up on my Spanish (gotta love Duolingo!). One of the biggest things that God is teaching me right now is patience. I am so ready to be on the field and begin my ministry in Mexico and sometimes I just want to go right now. God is showing me that I still have a lot to learn before I leave. I am also learning to take each moment as it comes, enjoying the time I have with my family and friends before I leave.
Please pray that I will continue to learn how to use my time left in the states intentionally. Pray for my family as we prepare to begin saying goodbye for the next two years. And pray that God is already working in the lives of those I will be ministering to in Mexico City. Thank you all for supporting me in this journey and I hope to soon be able to share much more about how God is working!
