Thank you SO much for your prayers and encouragement over these last few months as we prepare to head to Nicaragua!
Right now, we are at about 86% of our monthly support raising goal! Our team leader (Brandon) lives stateside and will be making a trip to Nicaragua on April 7th. We are hopeful and praying that we will be able to reach our funding goal in the next week or two so that we can align our arrival with his. Coordinating our arrivals would be helpful for Nique and I to make the transition easier, and would also be a benefit to our team in a number of practical ways.
We recently completed 2 weeks of training with One Collective in Elgin, IL. Our schedule was packed with full days of learning about our organization, our model for ministry and development, and more to help us prepare and equip us for cross-cultural work. The photo above shows some fellow workers who went through the training with us.
We wanted to share this story about our team’s partnership with Mars Hill Church in Alabama. Their commitment to sustainable impact has been a huge part of what Jesus is doing in Masatepe — through their listening and learning, they helped launch the addiction recovery center a few years back.
We would appreciate prayer for the Lord’s provision over the next two weeks, and that we are able to finish this support raising journey well. If you know someone that is interested in connecting with us, we would love to meet with them!
