I've been in Central Asia for a bit over a week now, and I can still hardly belive I'm here. I'm so grateful. The cool weather here is a welcome difference from home, but while I may not miss the heat, I certainly miss the people. It's such a strange feeling to be both incredibly happy to be here, and yet missing who I've left in the US. The Lord is my Comforter and Confidante through it all.
In an online ministry class I've been taking, we've been talking about new wine and new wineskins, as in Mark 2:22. I know Jesus has new wine for me. I pray he would also give me new wineskins - new perspectives, open eyes and a renewed mind - to receive all that He has prepareed. I wish to be a vessel of His mercy and love here.
