The Road Less Traveled

Greetings!

My name is Anni Kenyon, a recently graduated alumna from Wheaton College in German Language, Literature, and Culture and Christian Education. And I am so excited to be partnering with GoCorps and ReachGlobal in Innsbruck, Austria for the next two years!

For individuals who know me, this decision to go abroad for two years was not a shocking surprise for them to hear as I believe that God has prepared me for this opportunity throughout the course of my life (however, I took longer to see it than them!). 

Growing up, I have always been interested, drawn to, and inspired by accounts from other countries. This began to stir a nudging in my heart towards other cultures that has fully come to fruition. In a lot of ways I feel like Queen Esther, who was told that perhaps she was made queen for “such a time as this” (Esther 4).  How might this be?

Well, as a self-declared “jack of all trades” or at the very least a woman with many varied and distinct interests and passions, I have encountered opportunities that touched on a few of my interests, but never all of them all at once.  Thus when the Lord brought this opportunity to work in Austria with youth as a “Game Outreach Coordinator”, I found my interests in German, youth mentoring and discipleing, and sports and games all intersecting – how could I refuse? 

So now here I am embarking on this exciting journey of God’s calling, provision, and purpose. Come and encounter the discovery of this journey with me!

 

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,

And sorry I could not travel both
