With Thanksgiving celebrations last week in the United States, I thought it would be fun to make a list of 11 things that I am thankful for in this season of life. But then I got carried away, so here is a list of 22 things (11 serious and 11 more playful) that I thank the Lord for:
- Hearing incredible stories of new brothers and sisters coming to Life from the hardest parts of the world
- The beauty of food (especially pizza)
- Being used as an answer to other people's prayers
- Wood fire stoves
- We are almost fully funded to join our team!
- Listening to Christmas music early
- An incredible team of people rallying around us in support
- My incredible wife
- Introducing a youth group to unreached people and the 10/40 window
- Reading good books aloud with my wife
- Crazy, God ordained connections with new people
- A winter with snow (I hate the cold, but snow is pretty; I'm gonna miss it)
- God has designed prayer to be powerful
- The fact I'll be living in a warm climate soon (I hate the cold)
- Having the family together for Thanksgiving
- A few of my best friends recently got engaged to be married!
- That the Lord opened my eyes to His heart for the nations
- I saw a wolverine in the wild this fall
- Being a part of a Church passionate about global work
- Board games
- The Gospel of the Kingdom of Christ
- The Timberwolves finally traded Jimmy Butler
