The One Where I Was Called

Welcome to my Go Corps Blog!

I am so excited to be writing this first post! This is also my first time blogging EVER, and I look forward to sharing with you my adventures through this new medium.

In a few short months I will be headed out to live and work in a Muslim country. For those of you who don’t know or remember, I had the honor and privilege of studying abroad in the Middle East in 2015. That experience changed my perspective and helped mold my passions. Now, I am returning to the region to work with refugees for two years. I have no doubt that this work will be challenging, but I look forward to being stretched in my faith and understanding of the world and God’s character.

As I made my decision to join Go Corps and my sending organization, God made it abundantly clear that I need to take this step of faith out onto the unknown waters of full-time mission work. One of the Bible verses that I’ve meditated on, and that I’ve chosen as one of my sending verses is 1 Corinthians 15:58- Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord you labor is not in vain.

With that, I would like to ask for you to join me in praying for these specific issues. As I begin my ministry, I will be faced with great spiritual warfare, and I would love every prayer that you have to offer for me, my team, and my work.

Pray that:

  • People will be responsive to my phone calls and support appointments.
  • God will provide abundantly for my financial goals.
  • The team on the ground currently will be encouraged and strengthened in their work.
  • The refugees will find rest and hope in the love and promises of God.

If you ever have any questions about the work that I will be doing or want details on my current whereabouts in the U.S., please do not hesitate to contact me through email or by commenting here!

يرحمك الله

God Bless,

Eden
