The past month has been an incredible answer to prayer for my team. We have been putting many things before the Lord and He has answered! Some of my teammate were able to put together a story school for Afghan people that we work with. For a month, they met for the whole day to read through bible stories, have them translated and recorded for a company in the states that shares through this resource. They did an evaluation at the end of the week and here is one woman's response.
"One woman, S, arrived with a head covering the first week. Even though she removed it the second week, the stories that she was hearing about Jesus were still difficult for her to grasp. She even insulted our translator when he translated my (J) prayer “in the name of Jesus” at the end of the SFG. However, this same woman, invited her daughter, her mother and her son to come as guests and hear stories. She also invited her brother when we mentioned that we had a significant need for a back translator. Her countenance changed from a judgmental, suspicious one to a happier one by the end of the time. She had grown close to us. During our evaluation she said, “You need to do this workshop everywhere in this city. There are others who need to hear it.” She also said, “Thank you for everything you’ve done for us,
and forgive me if I’ve wronged you.”
God moves through His word and through the TRUE stories in the Bible. People are being changed because of it. Be encouraged.
