Here is a short update for you all for the month of August.
This job can be really difficult. Many of you know that this has been my dream for a long time, but through it all, I have still had some rough days. The summer has not been the easiest time for a multitude of reasons. One of the biggest contributing factors is that we don’t have our regular programs up and running. These are the ones that I have worked with most recently and have grown the most passionate towards.
But even in this time, I have been learning about the importance of resting in the fact that I am His beloved and that is separate from my productivity. In this job, it’s really hard to assess whether you are being successful or not. At least for me it is! And that comes out ten fold in the summer. Resting in His presence has been super important for me.
I am transitioning into the start of the program year, and I could not be more excited. I will also be taking a break for 2 weeks in a beach town an hour away in September to process my time here and some things in my life that have come to the surface while working here. I can feel the Lord calling me to more intimacy with Him and I am eager to know what that will entail for the upcoming year.
