Ramadan was this month! Muslims celebrate by practicing daily fasting for a months time to renew their spiritual commitment and purify themselves. It was a beautiful way to learn about this culture and religion. They have huge iftar feasts at night where they all break fast together each night. My language helper invited us to join her one evening. It was a great month to appreciate the unique culture in this country, and to pray for these sweet people to find the truth they are looking for through the truth; name of Jesus!
We had a Vacation Bible School HERE! It was so fun. . .and so exhausting as some of you can relate (I am sure). We were able to partner with a short term team who planned a weeks worth of stories, games, and crafts. I was able to lead worship for these sweet Afghan, Syrian, and Kurdish refugee children. . . IN THE LANUAGE I HAVE BEEN STUDYING!! This is a picture of one of the rotations we had. We had about 70 kids throughout the week. A lot of their mothers stayed and engaged with seminars and conversations about motherhood, marriage, and living well. One of the mothers came to Christ that week!
