What is Ohrenbär? Well, it's a German podcast about kid's bedtime stories. I unashamedly listen to it every night before going to bed. Do I understand anything? I'd like to think that it's soaking into my brain and I'll magically understand German, but the reality is that I catch some words or phrases every once in awhile. I know that it's about a bear who often goes to school and drinks water, so that's cool. But why would I possibly spend my time listening to it? BECAUSE I'm preparing to move to Berlin, Germany, to give my time seving others, like women in a safe house who have been trafficked or refugees who are immigrating to Germany. THIS WEEK I've been in Chicagoland learning about support raising (also known as ministry partnership development, I've heard it both ways!) which I will be diving into for the next 12 WEEKS! I've also had a chance to connect with with other members of my BERLIN TEAM, as well as some other cool folks like me who are going elsewhere in the world to serve people too! WOOT!
