For a long time, I struggled with my passion for the Lord and my passion for science and engineering. I always thought that I have to choose between my love for Jesus and engineering. Not too long ago, God has given me an opportunity to use both for his glory. I have been really excited and also nervous at the same time. Ministry is not something that someone should take lightly. I know for that it is going to be challenging for me but I know with the grace of God, everything will be alright.
For the past week I have been in Chicago learning about Fundraising. As the days goes by, I can feel the pressure and the anxiety building up. I was taught to be responsible and independent person. I never felt comfortable with the idea of asking people for money. However I am learning through scripture that Fundraising is biblical; even Jesus had people supporting him in his ministry. Jesus says in Matthew 7:7 to ask and it shall be given to you.
Being surrounded by fellows goers and learning about their story gives me hope, confidence and joy about the work God is doing in me and around the world. I will finish this blog with the verse. I hope it will be a blessing to you all.
“But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters loved by the Lord, because God chose you as firstfruits to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth. He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold fast to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter. May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.” 2 Thessalonians 2:13-17
