Hello Friends and Family!
I've made it to my final training in North Carolina. The weather here is a lot nicer than in Indiana currently which has been a nice change for me. I'm not too sure if my body is ready to go from this beautiful weather to the scorching heat of Africa but I guess it will have to learn to adjust just like the rest of me. My support raising has been gonig really well and I'm just about 100% raised which is such a blessing. I would still love prayers for eventually reaching the 100% mark as well as for making it safely to my destination country!
It definitely feels weird now moving on from support raising to actually getting around to heading over. I've been talking to poeple about this moment for the past several months and now finally it's happening which definitely makes it feel strange, nerve-racking, and exciting. Here's a little something I just wrote about my time as a support raiser:
It’s crazy to think that in just two weeks I’ll be going to finish my last bit of training and then head out to Africa. These past 18 weeks have felt much longer than I thought they would which doesn’t surprise me since I’ve had the privilege of travelling to meet with many of my family and friends. These past 18 weeks have been more difficult than I thought which doesn’t surprise me since I’ve had to slowly put more and more faith in God to take care of me. These past 18 weeks have been better than I thought which doesn’t surprise me since I’ve had to grow in my Faith and Character in order to succeed. God can do anything in 18 weeks; I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.
