Roller Coaster Ride

Posted on Thursday, June 2, 2016

As I sit here writing this first blog of many for the next couple of years I reflect on where this journey has already taken me. I haven't even started developing ministry partners yet or bought my plane ticket to Germany but the only way I can describe my emotions and trust is that it has been a roller coaster ride. I question, why do people hop onto roller coasters? Not because it is scary or it costs money. They hop on because of the reward and excitment in flying up and down. I have jumped on this roller coaster placing my hope in the truth that this journey will be rewarding and exciting.

This week I flew to Minnesota to begin partner development training with GoCorp and a little with ReachGlobal. I have had the chance to feel overwhelmed, super excited and curious. Being overwhelmed comes from human nature of receiving what seems like a burden. Excitment comes from being with 26 other goers who are on the same coaster as me and knowing this will be an adventure. Curiosity comes from wondering how will God provide. The wonder isn't if God will provide but how. I have no doubt that He will provide.

I am so thankful for the other goers and leaders of this week. It has been a week full of fun times and exhausting days. It's a testament to the roller coaster this will become. I am sitting looking on at this incline that will soon turn into turns, flips, ups and downs but it gauruntees one thing. It gauruntees a fun ride! Let's go!
